Patrick Gruetzmacher, Chief Executive Officer

Summit CEO Patrick (PJ) Gruetzmacher has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing in the Aerospace & Defense industry as well as eight years in construction, while working with his father. He also served in the US Army as a non-commissioned officer in Military Intelligence.

With his years of experience, he’s returning to the field where it all began. He’s bringing all of the technical knowledge he garnered in the aerospace and defense industry to the construction industry, specializing in automated doors and windows.

PJ has an extensive background in developing new products and launching them into production, from product development through marketing campaigns. He has held numerous leadership positions throughout his career with the US Army, Honeywell, United Technologies, Aero Precision, Danaher Corporation, LAI International and now Summit Automation.

He obtained his MBA from Western International University, BS in Operations from DeVry University, Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS). While with Danaher Corporation, he became a certified Black Belt in Production and Marketing and holds several Kaizen Black Belts

Brenda Gruetzmacher, Chief Financial Officer

Brenda has more than 20 years of experience in Customer service, finance tax preparation, sales management, charity fundraising coordination, fundraising, private property management, and remodel construction, where she gained insight for architecture and design. As a territory manager for the flooring manufacturer Shaw Industries, she worked with contractors, builders, and architects to assist with meeting their flooring needs.

She attended Solano Community College in California, and has been trained as a tax preparer, negotiator, sales manager, and certified account manager. Giving back to the community is a passion of hers. She has used her sales, financial, and marketing skills to chair fundraising events with record-breaking donation dollars raised.

Scott Sypek, Regional Director of Sales

As Summit’s Regional Director of Sales, Scott Sypek is responsible for developing and executing an effective sales plan, coordinating all required resources to meet or exceed Customers’ expectations. Essentially, he provides manufacturers, architects, builders, and home automation experts with the solutions they need to bring doors to life.

His entire career has been focused on building solid relationships. He gained a well-rounded foundation working in the aerospace, defense, industrial, electronics, and commercial industries, now bringing his extensive skills to the residential/commercial building segment.

He has more than 30 years of experience in operations management, international and domestic sales, contracts, program management, supply chain management, and planning. Scott has held leadership positions at LAI International, PACSCI EMC, Hollister Operations a subsidiary of the Fortive Corporation (Formerly Danaher Corporation), and Honeywell. His primary focus was growing developing new products via research and development and gaining market share through operational excellence via lean six sigma(DBS,TPSFBS) manufacturing.

He attended Western International University in Phoenix, Arizona, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management/Administration.
